Designjunction 2016, London

Client: Designjunction’s Cubitt Pavilion
Location: London
Architect: Satellite Architects
Delivery date: 2016

Satellite Architects designed a gridded structure filled with mirrors and vegetation for the entrance to designjunction‘s event during London Design Festival in 2016.

The idea was to design an installation to cover the facade of designjunction’s Cubitt House pavilion – a two-storey temporary structure in London’s King’s Cross where 100 international furniture and lighting brands exhibited during the festival.

The super-structure GRID installation was 70 metre long, 7,5 metre high – the world’s largest installation of GRID.
It was built in collaboration with Danish design curators Icons of Denmark and structural engineers Elliott Wood. London design and build firm Oktra created a scaffold framework to mount the modules onto.
